The Beatitudes (Matthew 5:5) #BEDA

I hope you have been enjoying the posts on the beatitude thus far. In the last post on this topic it was concluded there is still hope for us who mourn at out mistakes. God will comfort us.
In this post we will look at the third blessing pronounced in the chapter
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Matthew 5:5
As mentioned previously blessed means to be happy or happier. Happy are the meek. Who are the meek? What does it mean to be meek?
The meek and being meek comprises of being gentle, having a mild disposition, accepting God’s chosen methods for your life without resisting. This also relates to trials. “Trials and obstacles are the Lord's chosen methods of discipline and His appointed conditions of success”. Ellen White
Those who are meek may have great difficulties surrounding them. Although, this may be the case their responses will be poised, they would not manifest anger in times of pain and deposit gentleness in all situations
Those who are meek are also selfless are not full of self.
“when we are dead, and our life is hid with Christ in God, we shall not take neglects or slights to heart. We shall be deaf to reproach and blind to scorn and insult.” - Ellen White
When a difficult situation appears what is your response? Do you throw your toys out of the pram?

Proverbs 15:1 King James Version (KJV)

15 A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
How can I be meeker?

Galatians 2:20 King James Version (KJV)

20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Each day we are to rededicate our lives to Christ to follow his way. A beautiful chapter in the Bible which outlines how one could become meeker. 1 Corinthians 13 https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Corinthians+13&version=KJV
